Michelin recommended master chef
Being master of the danish sandwich, smørrebrød, Adam Aamann puts the Danish sandwich on the world map. He gives the Danes and the wold a piece of Danish food culture with classic flavors and new Nordic interpretations.
His restaurants around the city attract great reviews from guests, the media and, among others, also the Michelin guide. The newest member of the family, Genbo, brings together the best of all its sister restaurants under one roof in Carlsberg Byen.
Adam draws on the season's best ingredients and also creates an unrefined evening menu. It is good taste that brings family and acquaintances around the table.
Ecology with 5 stars
60-90% of the raw materials are organic. The food is made from scratch using good chef's craftsmanship and, as a hallmark of the Aamann kitchen, the menu is made from recognizable, quality products in season.
Berlingske's food reviewer is once again enthusiastic about Aamann's smørrebrød dishes and gives perhaps Copenhagen's best curry herring 5 stars. Furthermore, guests on Google say:
“Friendly and quick staff and wonderful reinterpretations of classic smørrebrød.”
"Totally styled new restaurant in Carlsberg town."
“You think you have to have some standard Danish food. But the taste and quality are just much more than that.”
"Beautiful restaurant with delicious food."
The natural gathering point
When hunger strikes, Aamann's Genbo is an obvious choice for locals in Carlsberg Byen and other Copenhageners. The new hip district is flourishing in terms of gastronomic eateries.
The old, industrial buildings have been given a thorough overhaul. Inside, Aamann's Genbo is modern and eclectic with raw elements opposite the soft and natural colors and material choices of the Nordics as well as green nature.
