Behind Bistro Lupa is Jason Renwick, who has created great success with The Ark Collection - 3 restaurants all based on a plant-based food concept of high quality.
Driven by a sustainable ideology, the menu of the day is inspired, purchased and prepared based on fresh, local seasonal ingredients, including brought home on the cargo bike.
Eat modern, honest bistro food - the gourmet can indulge in green, Nordic dishes with a twist - prepared by seasoned, Michelin-experienced chefs (formerly Realis & Chateaux and Grand Tables Du Monde), and enjoy a glass of eco- and biodynamic wine or a dewy Mikkeller beer.
Well-composed concept is applauded
Bistro Lupa has inspired Danes to eat more plant-based food and gets great reviews from guests and food critics. Søren Frank from Berlingske says: "Bistro Lupa in Østerbro fully denies the prejudice that vegan cuisine is only anemic 'girl food'" and gives 4 stars.
In addition, Bistro Lupa ranks in the top 10 of Copenhagen's best reviewed restaurants on TripAdvisor:
"I'm not even vegan and was a little skeptical. But how delicious it was :-). I did not miss meat at all."
Tailor-made Nordic settings
With an eye for the environment, careful thought has been given to the detail and the range of materials. With high ceilings, beautiful light and clean lines characterized by the colors of the Nordic countries, you can sit at a table in Lupa's modern setting.
You eat at 400-year-old oak tables and sit on the classic, the J46 chair, from FDB møbler.
By-products and pineapple leaves have created the soft look in the back, while the bench is upholstered with recycled consumer waste, spun, woven and dyed again. Environmentally friendly, Danish design hangs from the ceiling and a Swedish collaboration has provided acoustic panels.
