Green culinary joy in an old industrial building
The old freight house H15 on Halmtorvet has been transformed into a modern eatery and cultural center. Spisestuen H15 is full of culinary joy and offers a modern, green kitchen in their restaurant. The menu is fresh, organic and made with a sustainable approach. Ingredients are sourced locally, preferably from farms in the Copenhagen area.
The menu is seasonal, but the kitchen also experiments with homemade pickling, fermentation, and preserving the best summer produce for use in the winter.
The chef's 3 servings
Dive into the à la carte menu with fresh fish, oysters etc. from local coastal fishermen and well-aged meat from Søtofte's Gårdmejeri. The chef creates a shareable menu with deliciously prepared vegetables and innovative inputs and techniques. Try for example: black apple, coriander capers, smoked mussels, seaweed ravioli and lavender mousse.
The culinary universe has evolved from good café food to a flavorful and dogma-free dining experience. Politiken has previously awarded H15 with 6 hearts.
Informal and social gathering place
H15 provides an informal afternoon and evening setting. Enjoy aromatic wine from Vinhanen or order a drink at the long wooden bar. The atmosphere is full of cozy comfort and conviviality. There are carpets on the floor and wooden tables and chairs with colored legs. The hall is decorated with lots of wood on the ceiling and hanging paper lanterns.
