Former Michelin and TV chef
Behind Plates is David Johansen, who became the youngest head chef in Danish history to receive a Michelin star. He has also been seen as a judge in the TV program Masterchef and other TV productions.
David Johansen has worked at several of Copenhagen's leading restaurants over the years, but the big dream was always to create his own place with simple, shareable dishes of high quality – the dream has become Plates.
Harbor and quality time
From the lively harbor at Christianshavn, a breathtaking panoramic view of Copenhagen's iconic buildings and the sunset that descends over the city unfolds. Here you will find Plates Christianshavn, where the food is not just meals, but a passion for simple and tasty food of high quality, served for sharing with quality time in mind with those we care about.
Berlingske's food reviewer, Søren Frank, writes about Restaurant Plates: 'The location is wonderful and it tasted like Noma year 3'.
Whoever shares, gets more
This is the philosophy behind Plates, which celebrates community and presence by encouraging you to create memories together, with a selection of dishes inspired by the best of French and Italian cuisine, adapted to the fresh ingredients of the season.
For the food, in addition to fine wines and a wide selection of non-alcoholic drinks, you can also get both classic and innovative cocktails and mocktails.
