Michelin recommendation
Owner and sommelier, Natthee Søderlund Thungnoi, has previously held leading roles at the former 1-star Michelin restaurant Kiin Kiin as well as restaurant Alberto K and Kokkedal Castle.
His many years of experience, sense of innovation and quality has resulted with the a recommendation by the Michelin Guide. The red food bible praises Rebel for the modern and complex dishes which are based on Danish ingredients and are rich in French flavor.
5 stars and words of praise
Berlingske's food reviewer Søren Frank signs with 5 stars after a beautiful, French gastronomic dining experience:
"Dot for a nice evening with classic, luxurious French tones. There is not much revolt over Rebel - it is not needed as long as the food is sharp - the kitchen is rather gastro light than bistro.”
Likewise, guests cheer, and also Politiken's food reviewer gives 5 stars for the appetizing dishes.
The eccentric Rebel
Through generational change, the restaurant has changed its name from former Restaurant Oubæk to Rebel. But the atmospheric, corny rooms on Store Kongensgade still have the same unpretentious atmosphere, where the food speaks for itself - chattering waiters are therefore not burdened as a dining guest.
